AT THE NAPA VALLEY COLLEGE

Culinary Arts Associates Degree Program

Napa Valley Cooking School offers training to aspiring culinarians, to meet their personal and professional goals. The program is designed to help students gain understanding and practical experience in the workings of a professional kitchen environment. Our classes have a small ratio of students to instructors, allowing each student to get personalized coaching, to help achieve their goals. We take a humanistic approach to the individuality of our students, emphasizing self-care, in a positive environment, as being crucial to a student’s success. The timeline of classes have been designed for completion in a 1-½ to 2 year period. Students have choices between a Certificate of Achievement or an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. Both pathways are offered at very affordable prices, that qualify for Financial Aid and scholarship funds to assist.

The Culinary Arts AND Hospitality Management team is led by Executive Chef Elena Sirignano, Department Coordinator and Lead Faculty. Students get the opportunity to receive instruction from experienced faculty and guest lecturers, who are experts in their fields. Also, as the Community College of the Napa Valley, students are exposed to employers and community partners, in one of the world’s greatest areas for Food and Wine excellence; making job opportunities found no where else.

The emphasis is to help each student find their footing into the career of their choice. Our programs open the door for students to work in the world renowned food and wine industry, that is the Napa Valley and the Bay Area. Our goal is to democratize culinary and hospitality, one mind at a time.
